Cavendish Trust back in Washington for Satellite 2014
For the third year running, Cavendish Trust are preparing to fly the Manx flag at Satellite 2014, the world’s pre-eminent satellite and conference exhibition, which takes place in Washington DC from March 10-13.
It’s the premier event in the satellite communications calendar with a packed programme including 300 speakers, more than 350 exhibitors and in excess of 12,000 satellite professionals expected to attend.
As one of the Isle of Man’s leading international corporate service providers, Cavendish has been closely involved with the island’s flourishing space and satellite sector for a number of years. Once again, the Company will be the only Isle of Man based corporate service provider attending Satellite 2014.
Represented by the lead Director, Cavendish will work alongside the ManSat delegation making the trip to the US capital. ManSat (www.mansat.com) is the Manx Government appointed body which handles filing interests for Isle of Man companies applying for selected orbital positions and radio frequencies.
“Space and satellite technology continues to be a dynamic and fast developing business sector, especially in the Isle of Man. At Cavendish, we are proud to provide a comprehensive range of legal and fiduciary services for a growing number of companies who operate within the industry.”
The Isle of Man is home to many of the world’s leading satellite companies and the space sector is an increasingly significant niche sector within the Manx economy. “We certainly punch above our weight. The Island may be small but it is, without doubt, one of the world’s pre-eminent jurisdictions for space companies.”
“At Satellite 2014, our message is that as a well regulated, extremely tax efficient jurisdiction, the Isle of Man should be seen as the ‘go to’ place for all types of satellite companies, no matter how small or large.”
Since Satellite 2013 the Cavendish Group of Companies has expanded its reach by merging with the Jersey based CSP, Garfield Bennett. “For space companies with links to Jersey, this important collaboration means that we now have another well regulated jurisdiction from which to provide key administrative and back office services to the sector.”
Meanwhile, Chris Stott, ManSat’s Chairman and CEO said he was delighted that Cavendish Trust had once again chosen to attend Satellite 2014, to further showcase the Isle of Man as a first class jurisdiction for the space and satellite industry. “As an offshore jurisdiction, the Island can offer an unrivalled level of legal and fiduciary support services for space and satellite operators, exemplified by Cavendish Trust. We look forward to working with Cavendish in Washington to attract new operators to our Island home,” he said.
