Strength of European Business Aviation is Good News for the Isle of Man, says Leading Niche Service Provider
The organisers of EBACE 2013, Europe’s premier business aviation event, have described the show as one of the most successful ever and that’s the same conclusion of regular EBACE exhibitors, the island-headquartered Cavendish Aviation, following the conclusion of May’s three day flagship convention and exhibition, held in Geneva.
The event attracted 460 exhibitors, the third highest number in the event’s thirteen year history, with nearly 12,500 delegates passing through the doors, a figure consistent with attendance figures in recent years.
A measure of the show’s importance was that this year’s static display of aircraft, which showcased 52 aircraft, took up more square footage than ever and was sold out with a waiting list.
NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen stated: “Just like last year, EBACE has proven to be of great value to the business aviation community – it has been a place where the industry has rallied together, made new announcements and set a positive tone, all of which has the business aviation community looking forward to the future.”
This was a view shared by James Cunningham-Davis, Managing Director of Cavendish Aviation, the specialist aviation services division of the Isle of Man based international trust and corporate service provider Cavendish Trust, who once again led the company’s delegation to EBACE2013.
“With exhibitor and visitor attendance remaining at near record levels, it was a clear indication of the business aviation industry’s strength and durability,” said Mr Cunningham-Davis. “This bodes extremely well for the Isle of Man and Cavendish Aviation”, and it is no surprise that we are now experiencing an unprecedented level of enquiries in the Isle of Man from the business aviation sector, not just in Europe but across the world,” he noted.
